Privacy policy
SettleUply helps people share expenses. This page explains what the app stores, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, display name and, if you sign in with Google, your profile picture.
- Group data you create: groups, members, expenses, splits, settlements, categories, budgets and recurring bills.
- Receipts: photos you attach to an expense, and, if you use Premium receipt scanning, the image you choose to scan.
- Technical data: device and app version information needed to run the service and keep it secure.
How we use it
To provide the app, sync your groups across devices, let other group members see shared expenses, keep the service secure and answer support requests. We do not sell your personal data.
Who can see your data
Other members of a group can see that group's expenses and balances. SettleUply does not hold or move money: payments you record happen outside the app.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database and file storage) to run the service. Free accounts may see advertising slots; Premium removes them.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your groups and expenses in the app.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data using the support link below.
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. After you ask for deletion we remove your account and profile; copies in routine backups expire on their normal schedule.
